Wing Fest London 2025

Discover why Wing Fest London is the ultimate festival for chicken wings, with flavours, music and entertainment that keep fans coming back year after year.

Wing Fest London 2025

Every summer, London turns into wing heaven when Wing Fest rolls into town. Billed as the world’s largest chicken wing festival, it’s a weekend dedicated to one thing and one thing only: wings. And let me tell you, it’s every bit as messy, fun, and delicious as it sounds.

What is Wing Fest?

Wing Fest is more than just a food festival — it’s an entire experience. Your ticket gets you into a buzzing arena packed with live music, DJs, bands, axe throwing, rides, games, eating competitions, and even a free Wing Fest trucker hat to really look the part. Thousands of wing fans pile in, ready to sample the very best wings the UK has to offer. A judging panel and ticket holders cast their votes to crown the champions in each category, but honestly, when you’re elbow-deep in sauce, everyone feels like a winner.

Wings, Wings, and More Wings

The real star of the show is, of course, the food. Every stall is dedicated to perfecting chicken wings in one of three categories: Buffalo, BBQ, and Wild. The Wild entries are particularly fun — think wings that taste like apple crumble or even a “Homer Simpson” doughnut-inspired creation. It’s the kind of food you’d never expect to work, but somehow does, and it keeps you curious to see what’s around the next corner. Wings are sold individually, so you can try more vendors/flavours, and are usually £1.50-£2 a wing.

This Year’s Highlights

In 2025, we made it our mission to try as many wings as we could (without attempting the eating competition — that’s for braver souls than me!). Some of the standouts included:

  • Gurt Wings: the Gurty Baba dripping in pomegranate, sumac & tahini and the Beefy as F*** Buffalo which packed a punch of hot sauce, sweet honey, beef bouillon and ranch.
  • Shwings: a clever Backwards Buffalo of truffle blue cheese consommé topped with reduced buffalo sauce and the Bacardi Pistachio with a warm Asian sauce and a tickle of rum & pistachios.
  • Hot Chick: bringing the heat with Bombay Bad Boy with Naga sauce, mango chutney, and Parle-G biscuits and the Snap, Crack(le) and Pop Honey Buffalo with blue cheese ranch and explosive crack(le)!
  • Fowl: a Thai-inspired Red Curry, plus The Wingnut — a chicken wing doughnut hybrid that was as wild as it sounds.
  • The Baked Bird: for their Sticky Situation baked wings in a sticky soy toffee pudding glaze with white chocolate and fudge!

Every stall had its own unique twist, and collecting stickers from each vendor is so much fun - displaying them on the hat makes an excellent unique souvenir too!

Beyond the Food

Even if you need a breather between wing rounds, Wing Fest keeps you entertained. The live music and DJs give the whole place a summer festival vibe, while games, rides, and even axe throwing keep the energy high. And if you’re brave (or slightly unhinged), you can test yourself in the fastest or lava hot wing eating competition. Personally, I prefer to watch from a safe distance — it’s equal parts hilarious and horrifying to see someone tackle a mountain of wings in minutes.

Final Bite

Wing Fest London isn’t just about food — it’s about fun, community, and celebrating one of the greatest comfort foods ever invented. Whether you’re a Buffalo purist, a BBQ lover, or curious about the Wild creations, there’s something here to tickle (and tingle) your taste buds. Grab your wet wipes, bring your appetite, and prepare to get saucy — Wing Fest really is the ultimate chicken wing weekend. They also hold festivals in Derby, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham if those are closer to you (or you fancy visiting more than 1 a year!)
